*Sigh*
OK, in the great words of Oscar Wilde, "I can resist everything except temptation." I have been tempted.
Haute Doll, the magazine for "Dolls Who love to shop," has in their most recent issue preview a new clothing collection for ABJDs that was released on Monday. For those of you in the ABJD world, you might have known this. The collection is the third (I believe) that has been done by the great Val Zeitler. Val has done a Marie Antoinette and a Halloween collection for Haute Doll before. This is issue, a year after her last collection for the magazine, is called "Bitten" and is based on vampires. It is also Victorian in style. In short, I was screwed to begin with. Each item in the collection was limited to forty, so when they went on sale at 10 o'clock am on Monday, it was like a feeding frenzy at the website. I bought two items, an outfit called "Fool's Paradise" (fitting, no?), which would work wonderfully for a Steampunk environment, and a pair of suede spats for Terren. Although my order was taken I have yet to receive news if I will get either item I ordered. I have not gotten any news, however, and am seriously thinking about calling Haute Doll tomorrow morning to inquire as to whether or not I did. Seeing as I am leaving early on Friday for vacation, I really need to know, because the person who is watching our house will need to know should a package be expected.
In tangent, I have been preparing for my vacation with shopping! I was in desperate need of shorts, since all of mine were ruined during the process of re-doing our backyard. I have placed a wonderful order to Torrid, which I expect any day now, and have bought some more clothes locally. To top it off, I am going to get my nails done tomorrow, which I am very excited over. I am even thinking about getting fake nails, which I personally have never had before. I think I will feel glamorous when I get down to Florida, haha! Disney World, here I come!

In Which the Road of Life has Twists and Turns
Been busy, fellow deviants!
The semester was very stressful. My family has fallen are economically hard times (as many are these days). As a result, my school work ethic suffered. I had to withdraw from a class I needed to take in order to student teach in the spring. As you might expect, due to the fact that I have not passed said class, I cannot student teacher this up-and-coming semester. Instead I am retaking the class I withdrew from as a course by special arrangement. I had the support of two great professors who helped me to clearly see my options. They told I could continue in the course I was struggling in, but the highest gr
In Which I am Trying Something New...
I downloaded this awesome skin by ==HermioneJeanWeasley and had to try it out (link at the lower right-hand corner of this journal).
I have been extremely busy with school. It's my last year and I am going slight mad with writing lesson plans and such. Wish me luck!
In Which I Am Sharing...
Before I share, I will say the piece I was talking about last time--the one that is a gift for a forum friend--is actually already on display on my university campus. So photographing it will have to wait. If you are around Aurora, Illinois, please stop by the Aurora University library, the Phillips Library, and check out the art and photographs on display.
Now for my share. As a mentioned last time, I am keeping a blog for my senior seminar in history class where I discuss the readings we have. My professor just commented on my entries and said one paragraph in particular is his "favorite." It is a part that I am especially proud of, a
In Which I have Been on Unforgivable Hiatus
Of course, you may choose to forgive me. ;)
But it is true, I have been gone a long time. About a year, to be precise. This past year has been, to put in one word, stressful. As I am approaching my graduation, the mean monster courses are coming after me. Just a few minutes ago I posted two blog entries on Blogger for my senior seminar in history class. My number of semester hours this semester is the smallest I have ever had (since I almost committed what I think of as type of academic disaster last spring--but I passed my classes, so I cannot complain too much). Two of the three classes I am taking are higher up classes, so perhaps t
